His heart was torn. Part of him had never forgotten that night, but he could see that Anders did make her happy. She seemed more...relaxed than he had seen her in a long time. He'd stayed for the night, wanting to see her again outside of the missions she did, and he had.
He couldn't bare to watch them anymore though. He couldn't begrudge her her happiness but he couldn't watch them.
Fenris hit the wall, taking one last look at her face for the night, then turned and walked away. He wanted to apologize for that night as well, it was part of why he'd come at Isabella's behest...but it seemed like it was too late now.

I favorited this because it reminded me of something that I couldn't quite place, but I finally realized what it was! It reminds me of the part in Edward Scissorhands where Edward sees Kim kissing her boyfriend, and walks away clawing the walls.
